VP of Finance

Position Overview
The Vice President of Accounting will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for global accounting, financial reporting, cost accounting, internal controls, and risk management. This role requires a hands-on leader with deep manufacturing accounting expertise and the ability to balance strategic leadership with operational execution.
Important: This role is strictly within manufacturing. Experience must be from industrial or aerospace manufacturing environments-healthcare, pharmaceutical, and food manufacturing backgrounds will not be considered.
Top Must-Haves
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting (required)
- Advanced, current expertise in ASC & GAAP (IFRS exposure required)
- Significant cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
- 8-10+ years of progressive financial leadership, including executive-level roles
- Minimum 4 years of manufacturing industry experience
- Proven leadership of multi-entity, international accounting operations
- Strong background in internal controls, audits, and regulatory compliance
- Comfortable working 100% on-site (non-negotiable)
Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Executive Leadership
- Develop and execute accounting and financial strategies aligned with company objectives
- Serve as a strategic advisor to the COO and executive leadership
- Participate in enterprise-level decision-making and risk management
Accounting, Reporting & Compliance
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with ASC, GAAP, and IFRS
- Oversee global statutory audits and regulatory reporting
- Maintain a strong internal control environment
- Oversee cost accounting and inventory valuation in a manufacturing setting
- Lead tax compliance and reporting for a multi-entity, international organization
Financial Planning, Treasury & Risk
- Provide financial analysis, performance metrics, and business insights
- Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and capital structure
- Support M&A activities including financial due diligence
- Oversee commercial insurance and enterprise risk management
Operational Excellence
- Optimize ERP systems, reporting tools, and accounting processes for scalability
- Partner with operational leaders to enforce financial discipline
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across finance and accounting
People Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting and finance team
- Foster accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA license strongly preferred
- MBA or Master's degree a plus
- Prior VP-level experience in a complex manufacturing organization
- Experience scaling manufacturing operations or supporting high-growth environments
- Familiarity with Epicor ERP
- Exposure to lean manufacturing or continuous improvement initiatives
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $200,000 - $240,000
- Bonus: Year end bonus
